Week 2 of the 2017 NFL season will conclude with tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and Detroit Lions. It's an intriguing contest between two teams that made the playoffs in the NFC last season, although they got off to vastly different starts in their respective openers last week. The Lions exploded offensively for a double-digit win against the Arizona Cardinals, while the G-Men looked confused on that side of the ball without Odell Beckham Jr.—sidelined with an ankle injury—and mustered just three points in a loss to the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys.
The Giants are hopeful that Beckham will play, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the star wideout’s status is “up in the air” ahead of Monday night’s contest, which kicks off at 8:30 p.m. EST:
